Did you know?
Around 25% of children in the United States between the ages of 2 and 17 wear glasses or contact lenses to correct their vision. This percentage tends to increase as children grow older:
-
Ages 2-5: About 3% of children in this age group need glasses.
-
Ages 6-11: Around 20-26% of children need vision correction.
-
Ages 12-17: Approximately 35-48% of children require glasses or contacts.
Interestingly, girls are more likely than boys to wear glasses or contacts.
Additionally, studies show that more than 1 in 5 school-aged children experience nearsightedness or other vision impairments that can be corrected with glasses.
Lili’s Story
Lili has had glasses for a long time, most of her life. This year she is in 5th grade and thriving with the help of her glasses.
Why Dogs?
Dogs can wear glasses too! Maybe not in the same way humans do, but in some cases, dogs have to wear glasses after cataract surgeries or in a diagnosis of Pannus and many other medical issues.
We created the Lili’s Dog Collection for ALL children like Lili and those adorable lovie dogs who need to wear glasses. To help them see that they are not alone in wearing glasses and they do not have to be afraid of the bullies. The Lili's Dog Collection is for young and old alike! Come and Join the Pack!
We here at A&M Gifts hope that you have a wonderful day!
